League Update - 2/9/2018

Well everybody, we are winding down registration and I just want to thank you, the Community, for all that you have done for letting people know about league, finding the league, etc... As of now, we have 77 players signed up! Not bad for our 1st year and about 5 months to put this thing together. Excellent job guys!!

League Count

As of 7:44 PM 2/9/2018

Note: I need to shift one Machine Pitch to T-Ball. So Machine pitch will go down 1 and T-Ball will go up 1.

Really need that one more for Jr/Sr!

Assessments will be held at Franklin/Brimhall field 2/17 from 1 PM-4 PM. I do not think we will need that long but we booked the field from 12:30-4:30.

We can roll through these pretty efficient.

-- T-Ball: Not Required
-- Majors: Not Required
-- Coach/Machine Pitch: 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM
-- Minors: 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM
-- Jr/Sr: 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM

If you can't make assessments, it's OK. Given our volume, we just want to see how the girls do. It's not about if your kid performs well, it is just about the girls and how we gear our coaching towards them. Again, we want to bridge the gap between little league and club.

We definitely encourage you to show up if your kid wants to try being a pitcher or catcher. Every girl will be required to go through this part of assessments.

If you are interested in being a coach, stay tuned as well. We are working on materials for what each player, in each division, should be able to accomplish by the end of the season. We are working on a date to have a space available for this meeting. With our volume, we won't need that many head coaches, and I know there have already been a few requests. However, assistants are very important to help with practices (where the kids learn everything). So if you want to help out as an assistant, please stay tuned as well.

I will get a count of how many head coaches we need, hopefully by Monday.

Jamie will be communicating on this later on.

NOTE: Every person who will be interacting with the girls will be going through a background check.

Community Meeting

We are also working on a date to have a community meeting. We are going to contact schools to see if we can get a classroom, as I think we have outgrown the Fire Department space. That room gets crowded really quickly. We want one before the months out. I need to check my work schedule. I am pretty slammed the week of the 19th.

Board Positions

Now that I'm not buried in the other items, I have a few board positions available. Please contact me if you are interested via Facebook Group/Messenger or email me at

I will meet with each of you who are interested and go from there.

-- Treasurer (required)
-- Player Agent (required)
-- Director of Sponsorship (wanted)
-- Social Media / Marketing (wanted)

Please note, if we don't get the required ones, we can get through for now, but next year will be unmanageable. Plus, Little League International doesn't really want to see the same name covering 3 required positions :)

I can help with every position listed above, so even if you don't have experience in any of those areas, it doesn't matter. I can help guide. If you do have experience in any of them, then cool, we can go from there.

This is the next goal. I would like 1 sponsor per team. We would also like additional sponsors to help cover cost of facilities. However, given our sponsorship package, one sponsor per team (at the right level) will help tremendously.  Given we will be playing with other leagues, some costs will shift from one league to other, but we have a good idea of what we are looking at budget wise. Plus, additional money over our direct cost can go back to the girls as well, for end of season activities.

Thank you everyone, we will answer questions as we can.
